I joined the Bad Habit Band in December 2002 as a Band Manager. In January 2003, I was asked
to bring my vocal talent to the stage on outtings with the band, and in March 2003, I was asked to
join the band on a permanent basis. I brought my guitar out of retirement - even went and bought a
new one - because the fire deep within my soul for making music had been rekindled. I owe that to
Tim, our lead guitar player, and the love of my life. I had been on a 10-year hiatus from my
guitar. I began playing guitar when I was 8 yrs. old. I studied guitar and music theory until
age 15, and was approached by the owners of the music shop where I studied to become a guitar
teacher. I quickly accepted and taught until age 22. I continued to work in the church music
ministry until age 26, stopping to take time to get married, have a baby, get divorced, and just
take time away from music.
Tim worked with me to get me back into the swing of things and teach me the songs on the band's
set list. I am now studying Pre-law, and do the band thing as a hobby as it is the fiber of my soul
and keeps me sane!
